Project Scope Management


Here are outlines to develop a Preliminary Project Scope Statement for you reference; I believe they will help PM (project management team) to understand the scope of project.

Project and Product objectives
Product requirement and characteristics
Product acceptance criteria
Project boundaries
Project requirements and deliverables
Project constraints
Project Assumptions
Initial defined risks
Schedule milestones


After all above been addressed and documented; we need to identify who is this product development team. Work with them to break down this project to individual tasks. Base on these tasks to estimate development cost and cost of unit; finally to come out approval requirement…..


The Project Scope Management is managing all above changes; understanding time and cost impact due to the changes, then get the approval of changes (need project sponsor and customer), revise new deliverables, timeline and cost…..
